Riverkeepers To Join Paddle

Flotilla takes to land in march through Vancouver

he Get Out Migration marches on with a flotilla, walk, and rally culminating in Vancouver on October 25th.

Paddlers leave Hope, with various events en route — Hope (19th), Chilliwack (20th), Mission (21st), and New Westminster (23rd). Along the way, Fraser Riverkeeper, along with Wild Salmon Circle, will be handing out letter-writing postcards, to paddlers and visitors, to Stand Up for Pacific Salmon! We will also be engaging the paddlers in our new Riverwatcher program.

Please join Fraser Riverkeeper’s Doug Chapman and our boat, The Keeper, along with the rest of the flotilla, in Vancouver Harbor around 10:00 a.m. on October 25th. Then we will be marching from Vanier Park, over Burrard Bridge, to DFO and the Cohen Commission. Then we will end up at a rally at the Art Gallery at noon.

Paddlers include Alexandra Morton, Grand Chief Stewart Phillip, Chief Bob Chamberlin, Grand Chief Saul Terry, and Fin Donnelly MP.
