Coffee Break Awareness Fundraiser
Add some meaning to your coffee Sept 20 with the Alzheimer Society of BC
n September 20th our volunteers, caregivers and people living with a diagnosis of dementia in the early stages will be hosting an all day "Coffee Break" in the lobby of the Evergreen Hall from 11am to 3pm.
From 1pm to 2pm there will be a special speaker from Chilliwack Home Health Care to share information with concerned Caregivers from the community on what kinds of supports are available to support families in the community facing the challenges of dementia. No pre-registration will be required.
September 16th is the actual official date for "Coffee Break" but anyone can host this event anytime during the month of September or October. This fall, on September 16th, "Coffee Break" will be celebrating its 15th anniversary.
We hope that you will join us in making 2010 our biggest year. You can join hundreds of British Columbians who are adding greater meaning to their daily cup of coffee by hosting a "Coffee Break" in your own home, office, business location, church or care facility.
This is a Canada wide fundraiser and it has one single purpose: to help ensure that people living with Alzheimer Disease and related dementias receive the support and programs they need. You can become a "Coffee Break" Host by e-mail here to register for a
Host or Hostess kit OR you can support programs and services in our local area by dropping by the Evergreen Hall to join us for a cup of coffee and making a donation to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
