The criminal mind never ceases to amaze.

At around 1:30 p.m., a witness spotted a man on a bicycle break the passenger window on a late model GMC pickup parked on Menzies St. in front of the strip malls there.

The truck had a 25 foot aluminum boat attached to it and was parked just feet away from businesses.

So how does a crime of this nature happen in a place as busy as Menzies and Yale Rd.? Plants and shrubbery at the corner of a lot may have provided enough of a screen to enable the suspect to roll up on the bike unnoticed.

The suspect is described as wearing red and was last seen speeding away west toward Yale Rd.
