November's Full Beaver Moon
his photo was taken last week when the sky cleared for a moment to reveal a nearly full moon.
The November moon is known most commonly as the Beaver Moon, but itís also been called the Frosty Moon. This moon was a little different in that it coincided with the Leonid Meteor Shower.
Some say the moon gets its name because it was the time of year when fur trappers set traps before the winter freeze. Others say it has to do with beavers being busy building dams in November.
