CFD knocks down fire in time to save building

n November the 4th, 2013 at approximately 930 pm the Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire located in the 45000 block of Calais Crescent.
On arrival fire crews saw heavy smoke and flame on the roof of a single story commercial building.
30 Firefighters responded from Halls 1 and 4. The fire was quickly brought under control minimizing damage to the roof of the structure with no apparent extension to the interior of the building. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
The cause of the fire appears to be accidental and due to work being done on the roof of the building.
