Trash Trouble

Chilliwack River Valley a dumping ground and embarrassment say residents

Released by CRV Ratepayers/Website photo

arbage in the Chilliwack River Valley is completely out of control! Chemicals from suspected meth labs and grow-ops are found on many back road trails and logging roads.

Old Mattresses, vehicle batteries, thousands of shotgun shells in dozens of locations, old camping equipment, furniture shot up for target practice, appliances, burned out cars and more.

A recent tourist from Germany was heard to remark that they couldn't believe how much trash was seen on every road and trail through the Chilliwack River Valley. Even the main road in and out is summarily used as a dumping ground for coffee mugs, food and cigarette packaging and anything people wish to throw away!
