Hope River Fire

Quick response from CFD helps save fancy home

Thankfully, this home was saved from ruination Tuesday.


t approximately 12:56 am on Tuesday March 19, 2013 the Chilliwack Fire Department was dispatched to a single family two story home in the 46000 block of Hope River Road.


When the fire crews arrived on scene they were met by the owner who told them that there was no one in the house.  First arriving fire crews quickly brought the fire under control and were able to put the fire out.  There were no fire fighter or civilian injuries.


While the fire was contained to the room of origin there is significant heat and smoke damage to the room and smoke damage throughout the rest of the house.


The cause of the fire is under investigation by Fire Department personnel.
