Logo Contest

Kids can win great prizes

hilliwack Schools Garden Program gardeners have been growing in the Chilliwack area since 1904 – one of the oldest programs in Canada. Over the years, changes were made; In 1925, the program changed from garden plots at the schools to plots at the students’ homes, container and herb gardens were introduced to accommodate students with small back yards and now it’s time to update our LOGO!

We are inviting ALL Kindergarten to grade twelve students in the Chilliwack area (Public, Independent & Home Schools) to participate in this Contest.

You do not need to be a participant of the Chilliwack Schools Garden Program, so tell your friends.

LOGO Specifications:

  • 8" x 8" (20cm x 20cm)

  • Submitted on plain white computer paper

  • Logo MUST include ‘CHILLIWACK SCHOOLS GARDEN PROGRAM’

  • Colors: up to 3 colors, plus black

  • Include your name, school, grade, and telephone number on the back

The new LOGO will be used on:

  • The website

  • Promotional brochures and handouts

  • Letterhead, annual Prize List & Program

  • Award Ceremony ribbons, rosettes and trophies

  • T-shirts to be given to each program gardener

Due June 30, 2012

The judges panel will include a full age range of program participants. Honourable Mention Prizes will be awarded in each Division: KG – grade 3, grade 4 – 6 & grade 7 – 12, with a Grand Prize for the Overall Winner
