Teenager Robs Liquor Store

Three teens were involved in a late night robbery Wednesday at Characters in Chilliwack.

 

ust after 11 P.M. Wednesday, 3 males were involved in a hold-up at the Characters Pub Liquor Store in the 8900 block of Young Road.

RCMP immediately set up a perimeter, however the suspects managed to avoid the dragnet and a K9 unit was dispatched in an attempt to track them.

Unfortunately a clerk at the store was injured during the robbery and was attended to by paramedics then taken to Chilliwack General Hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries is not known.

The main suspect, described as approximately 14-years-old with curly hair, wearing a rainbow-coloured touque and dark clothing was apparently "very drunk" at the time and was later identified by name. Both the suspect and his associates, all around the same age, were last seen heading south in the Safeway parking lot. He is described as having .

It's unknown if cash or merchandise was taken.

The investigation is continuing. More on this later as details emerge.
