Submitted by Teresa Graham, Abby
he members of Raks Almeh Tribal Fusion Belly Dance Troupe are honoured to accept the invitation to dance when the Abbotsford’s Art Matters Society presents the Vagina Monologues benefit show Saturday, March 24th at 7:30pm in the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium.
The Society has produced and directed
VaginaMonologues since 2002 raising $100,000 for global and
local non-profit organizations who work to end violence against
women and girls.
This year the spotlight is on the women of Haiti. When asked to
perform we had no hesitation in saying yes!
With a donation of new or like-new pair of women’s shoes the tickets are $15 each (Shoes donated to Warm Zone in Abbotsford & to Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre). For more information e-mail here or call 604-859-2407.
