Released by Ashley Wray, UFV
Chilliwack RCMP will be challenging our three local high schools to
basketball games to raise money for Cops for Cancer.
The RCMP team will be
comprised of local officers and all of the proceeds raised will go
directly to Cops for Cancer.
The games will be played on Thursday March 29 at 7:00 PM at G.W.
Graham, Thursday April 5 at 7:00 PM at Chilliwack Senior, and
Thursday April 12 at 7:00 PM at Sardis Senior. "We would like to
issue a challenge to all the high schools to see who can raise the
most money," said Cst. Tracy Wolbeck. "All of the donations given
will be collected in an Easter basket and we would love for all the
baskets to be filled."
Admission for the games is $5.00 per person with all of the money
going to benefit Cops for Cancer. "This is a unique opportunity for
our officers to engage the youth in some friendly competition," said
Cst. Tracy Wolbeck. "The kids are not use to seeing the police in
this light and it should be a lot of fun for everyone."
Tickets can be purchased at the doors prior to the event.
