Spectra's gas line dig passes under many things in Chilliwack.

Update from City Hall spokesperson, Jamie Leggatt

I was just reading your article online 'The Big Dig' about Spectra Energy coming to Council tonight and just wanted to clarify that they are simply providing Council with an update. When you write "dive head-first into the pipeline trench" in the article, it sounds like members of the community can ask questions, which isn't the case. Again, I just wanted to clarify.

t the next council meeting Tuesday, concerned citizens can leave the comfy confines of social media and dive head-first into the pipeline trench with Spectra Energy as they provide council with an update on the replacement of the aging high pressure pipeline.

The pipeline travels in an east to west direction through Rosedale passing under Vedder Rd. and Luckakuck Way.

"Gary Weilinger, VP External Affairs, Spectra Energy, is in attendance to provide (Page 5), Council with an update on the "Chilliwack 30 Replacement Project".

To date, Spectra has been focusing on the logistics of the dig. You can read their extensive presentation from last year. It's expected the delegation will be announcing project completion timelines, as well as the beginning of road closures.

Where: Chilliwack City Hall

When: 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013
