Thieves gain access to 17 vehicles through unlocked doors

orth Chilliwack - Downtown Core Property Crime Hotspot (Young Rd Area 12-12235).


LOCATION: Downtown core, from King Avenue south to 3rd Avenue, between Broadway West to Main Street.

SYNOPSIS: Seventeen property crimes May 14-27. Three theft of vehicles, nine thefts from vehicle, five break and enters.

South Chilliwack - Industrial Area over to Luckakuck Way and down Vedder Road

LOCATION: Industrial area from Lickman Road over to Yale Road, then down around Mall area, then down Vedder to Manuel Road.

SYNOPSIS: Seventeen property crimes May 14-26. Eight thefts from vehicle, nine business break and enters. The common point of entry for the thefts from vehicle are unlocked car doors.

South Chilliwack - Tyson / Watson Park Area

LOCATION: Vedder Road, Miller Drive, Watson Road, Stevenson Road, Wiltshire Street

SYNOPSIS: Six thefts from vehicle from May 14-25.

The RCMP want to remind the public not to leave anything of value in your vehicles and to always ensure vehicle doors are locked.
