Cultus Gets Nostalgic

1st Annual Community Day at the lake coincides with Park Board's 80th

he Main Beach Event and Fundraising Committee is holding the first Cultus Lake Community Day on Saturday June 9th.


The event coincides with the 80th anniversary of the Cultus Lake Park Board and in celebration of that, there will lots of activities for all ages throughout the day.


Schedule of Events


9:30 A.M. - Pancake Breakfast: Cultus Lake Fire Hall. Adults $5 Children under 10 $2


11 A.M. - Community Parade: Entries welcome. Register via e-mail here.  Assembly is 10:30 A.M. at the Cultus Lake Community School.


12 Noon - 4 P.M. Children's Carnival on Main Beach. Parents purchase a bracelet for $5/day. Market in the Park goes from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. and there will be a celebratory cake-cutting at high noon in the Market.


Brick engraving takes place at the market as well and for a $20 donation you can have a name engraved on a brick.


12:30 P.M. - Dedication of a salmon statue in the Westside parking lot.


2 P.M. - Commemorative ceremony on the Main Beach.


2:15 P.M. - 6 P.M. - The Moonlighters Orchestra Band will get nostalgic and entertain with music from the 1930s under the gazebo at Main Beach.


7 P.M. - Barbecue and Dance at the Community Hall. Tickets are $20 and available at the park office. Admission includes burger, salad, desert and a drink. Entertainment by James Accoustic live looping with a mix of current music.


Cultus lake thanks the volunteers that help make it all happen; C.O.P., Cultus Lake Firefighters, Cultus Lake Community Association and the Cultus Lake Community School.
