Over two-hundred new and vintage cars lined Five Corners in Chilliwack for the Village Classic Car Show June 26, 2010.
The following photos are from the morning prior to the monsoons that hit in the early afternoon. Included in these shots is the canary yellow Ford GT 700 worth about $704,000. You'll see a kid sitting at the wheel who I reminded to try and look like a cool dude before the shots.
Other interesting notes on the show were the Blendurz who seem to get tighter and better with age. You'll see a few shots of Trevor McDonald and the rest of the band members up close and personal while playing on stage.
The Chilliwack Players Dance Guild put on a great 50s dance gig. One of the gals was dancing and blowing gum bubbles which was adorable and I noticed she was still doing bubbles after the show was over when the dancers were mingling, so I took that as an opportunity to ask her if she'd blow a bubble for the cam which she did.
DJ Sadie from the Hawk is always really cool to say hi to and doesn't even use her big rockin' radioland voice on you when you chat.
The vehicles are awesome and it's always a wonder how they get their cars so perfectly spotless that you could eat your breakfast on them. "Excuse me, make mine coffee and toast please."
I hope you enjoy the gallery below as much as I did when taking the photos.
City worker Harold Zinke was at the event in the photos above. It's hard to miss Harold when he's at events.
The Starfm girls, Amy and Desiree.
The lady with the big voice, Sade, from 89.5 Hawk Radio.

Chilliwack resident Tom Polny had a unique way of selling his 1951 Studebaker for $2500 as you can see from the sign he is carrying in the above photo. The vehicle is registered and well worth the restoration effort. You can see it in the photo he is holding. To contact Polny for information call 604-991-0404. Polny has to sell it, he's working on his convertible project already. This is dated at Monday, June 28, so you have to move fast if interested. "It's solid," he said.
The end of the gallery. Thanks for looking.
