And the Winner is...

A big day in Chilliwack for the Valley Huskers groceries draw

Save-On-Foods store manager Larry Morrison ( r ) drew the winning name Saturday at the downtown location. Head coach Bob Reist drew the runner-up prize of a $250 food voucher.

 

xtra hungry? The Valley Huskers think someone is and after a few months of ticket sales, the winner of their draw for a $3000 voucher for groceries for a year culminated Saturday at Save-On-Foods with the highly anticipated draw.

 

A small eager crowd of people waited patiently at the downtown  store as manager Larry Morrison reached into the barrel and pulled out B.L. Robins' name.

 

Head Coach Bob Reist drew a second prize of $250 that went to Barry Beck also Chilliwack sponsored by Save-On-Foods, Chances Casino and The Valley Huskers football club.

 

The Huskers are looking forward to one of their best years ever with Bob Reist, Head Coach," said media rep Rod Hudson. "Reist is bringing a wealth of experience and talent from Manitoba."

 

Travis Dietrich, ( l to r ) Eddy Perrin and Kolby Dyck are looking to tear up the turf this year starting in Kamloops vs. the Broncos July29. They were accompanied  by with Husker Board member Irene Spalding.

 

According to Hudson, Reist has brand new plans that will inspire the Huskers team to put more games in the win column and a bring in huge support from fans this year.
