So Happy Together

Third night a big one for the Chilliwack community

Everyone had a blast at the third Party on the Park

he sky is overcast and the crowd a little sparse at the beginning of the third of four Party in the Park events. Nobody got cold feet and trusted the grey sky won't burst.

A small amount of drizzle did fall for a just a few minutes but not enough to spook them. They wanted to hear the best bands Chilliwack has to offer.

Emcee Trevor MacDonald pumped up the crowd. Excel Martial Arts opened the night with students showing off their best moves. Chopping blocks with fists and feet.

By the end of their demonstration the bowl was packed. By then the bowl was packed.

Floe Pham's band and (below) hammered the crowd with some original driving rock that wrapped up the evening.

Almost all at once, Mill and Wellington as packed like any other Party in the Park in fair weather. Streets blocked. Food trucks steaming. Activities for the kids. Vendors anticipating doting buyers.

This is the Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association's apple and the people came out in droves.

As the night wore thinner,  The Johnsons, KOs, and Awake O Sleeper amp it up.

Mother Nature is expected to crank the heat up this tonight.

Come prepared. Watch for Erik & Brittany, Sound Faith, Maggpie, Horsepower and closing with a cloned The Tragically Hip tribute band fittingly called The Hip.
