On Saturday, riders raced at the joint BC XCO Championships and Canada Cup XCO Final. Evan Guthrie (Peachland, BC) took third in the Elite Menís race, securing himself the win in the Canada Cup XCO series overall ranking. With his win in the Junior Menís field, Holden Jones (Squamish, BC) took silver in the Canada Cup series, while Jayne Rossworn also secured silver in the series, along with the Elite Womenís provincial champ title.

The first round of the Downhill BC Cup followed on Sunday, with riders racing in the dusty heat in the Whistler bike park. Reigning 2016 series winners Claire Buchar and Chris Kovarik won the Elite Womenís and Menís races, with Kovarik posting the fasted time of the day.
