Double-Murder at Five Corners

Police have the parking lot by Five Corners taped off where a stabbing took place that left two dead and another with stab wounds.

olice are mum about exactly what took place Friday night that led to the deaths of two people and another with stab wounds.

When police arrived, they located the three victims, all of which had suffered stab wounds.

According to Cpl. Meghan Foster of Integrated Homicide Investigation Team ( IHIT ), the investigation is in its early stages, and it's not known if the altercation was targeted.

Currently, the victims names cannot be released as the next of kin have yet to be notified.

Meghan told The Voice on the phone later that the two males who died were 45-years-old and 51-years-old. The third victim, a woman, was treated at Chilliwack General for stab wound and is expected to survive.

IHIT will be working diligently with the Integrated Forensic Identification Section of the RCMP and the BC Coroners Service to determine what happened that led up to the stabbing.

"The investigation is in its infancy, and there is limited information to indicate whether this attack occurred between individuals known to each other or if it was random," said Foster. "Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact police."

RCMP could not say if this is where the altercation took place.

Currently, Princess Ave. and Nowell St. are taped off and traffic is being diverted.
