Community eats and washes their way to nearly $4000

Firefighters dished out thousands of dollars in breakfasts Saturday.


hen it comes to event pancake breakfasts, Chilliwack Fire Department leads the way.


On Saturday, as part of Canada Day celebrations, the Chilliwack community showed firefighters just how much they love them spending and how hungry they were by eating their way to around $3000.


Crews also threw in car washes by donation and raised a whopping $500 in the morning putting a shine on cars and smiles on faces.


All together crews managed to raise approximately $4000 with proceeds going to Burn Fund and to assorted local charities.
