onít miss the 25th Annual Chilliwack Bluegrass Festival taking place at Chilliwack Heritage Park this Labour Day Weekend August 31, September 1st and 2nd.
Seven amazing bands from across North America will keep your toes tapping to some of the finest bluegrass music to be experienced anywhere. On the lineup from the heart of bluegrass music, the southern United States, are Chris Jones and the Night Drivers from Tennessee, Thomas Porter and Copper River from Arizona, Storefront Congregation from Kentucky, Digger Davis and Tombstone from Texas, and Northern Departure from Washington State.
Canadians donít take a backseat to anyone when it comes to bluegrass music and we have two of Canadaís finest performing this year. Hailing from the East Coast, Nova Scotia, we have the Spinney Brothers, and from the West Coast, British Columbia, we have 5 on a String.
The weekend is full of great music, free corn roasts every night, open mics, workshops, beginner jams, and a Church Service- Gospel hour held on Sunday morning. Who knows, you may even be lucky enough to obtain a coveted championship t-shirts by winning one of the fun corn shuckiní contests held during the weekend.
Buy a festival pass and camp for the weekend or just come for the day and enjoy the down home ambience that is created by the sights and sounds of great bluegrass music.
