Magicians to Marmalade
Chilliwack Farmer's Market in full swing now
Some of the produce available at the Farmer's Market on Saturdays until October.
lan Thomson scurries over and taps the ghetto blaster under the canopy. The air is suddenly filled with a enchanting mystical sound and just like magic, he is transformed into The Great Marrdini.
This was the scene at the Chilliwack Farmer's Market Saturday located in the front half of Minter Garden Country Store parking lot.
Assisted by his daughter Lera-Lin, Thomson captivated shoppers performing magic feats like pulling coins out of kid's ears and stupefying with magical rings.
The seasonal market has only been in operation two weeks and each week new items are added for the dedicated throng of buyers looking for fresh produce like locally grown raspberries, blueberries and strawberries, as well as mouth-watering baked items. Okanagan Valley fruit should be available shortly.
The market happens rain or shine 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. every Saturday through October at 10015 Young Rd.
Those interested in selling their produce at the market can contact Geoffrey Dalman through their website at: www.chilliwackfamersmarket.com or by calling 604-795-5544.
