f you’re considering taking up the art of keeping bees this 2017, you might be interested in attending one of two Beekeeping Basics workshops happening in Chilliwack, January 15th and February 19th.

Environmental educator and local beekeeper, Laura Cameron – Delisle teaches these workshops for new and emerging beekeepers, and workshop attendees receive a copy of her newly published resource, a 76 page handbook, *Beekeeping Basics* (2016) covering the gist of what you might discover upon the decision to get bees.

Cameron’s beekeeping workshop is designed to empower confidence in new beekeepers, support decision-making and learning, and shed light on some of the mysteries you will discover in the world of beekeeping.

Workshop attendees will learn about life inside the hive, getting started, hive inspections, feeding the fees, honeybee diseases and pests, the beekeeping calendar year, swarm management and more. Cost of the workshop is $45/person and only a few seats remain. Registration is through Eventbrite or email Laura for more information here.
