Party in the Park Pirate Night

Staff/Voice photos

Lounging on the grass and taking in the live shows on the Star 98.3 entertainment stage at Central Community Park , is one of the preferred things to do on Friday nights in Chilliwack during summer.

ow that Coast Capital's Party in the Park is in full swing why not take a stroll down to Victoria Ave and Young Rd Friday nights where you'll find a wide array of fun things to do with the family. Last week's theme was "Pirate Night" for the third of eight events.

According to a Facebook post by emcee Trevor McDonald, over 3500 people took in the festivities. There are sixty vendors and information kiosks in the Night Market, Safeway Kids Zone with face painting and bouncy fun for your little buccaneers.

Eight events are staged though July and August with a line-up of great acts on coming up. The following photo gallery is a sample of what's going on in the park, and who knows, you may even be in a photo or two. Next Friday is "Western Night."
