Community helper eats his way into the new year

Local resident and familiar face in the community, Richard Harrington won the top prize in the draw at Save On Foods.

hat could be more fun than a truck full of monkeys? A truck full of food. Two winners got to drive away with huge hauls of food December 30th.

A popular local community food draw held at Save On Foods December 30, saw well-known local Richard Harrington take top prize home to Hope, BC. His prize included: a freezer filled with meat and $1000 worth of groceries.

Harrington has been an asset and activist in the Chilliwack community for many years helping at protests and no one could do more helping with many events. During election time, you'll see Harrington out there hammering in NDP signs and cheering his party on. We were very excited to hear of his win.

Vic Isaak from Chilliwack, who picked up second prize got enough to fill his truck too with a haul of $1000 in groceries.
