he excitement continues as spring recruiting attracts more very talented young men.

“We are very excited to announce the early commitment of these athletes. Each of them brings valuable skills to the program and we are eager to see them on the field,” commented Coach Reist.

Jesse Clifford, 6’3 260 lb. offensive lineman, is an outstanding player coming out of the Abbotsford Panthers program. With a high ceiling, this very athletic big man promises to make an immediate impact with the club.

Sam Nelson, 6’1 185 lb., REC GW Graham. Nelson is returning to football after spending last season recovering from injury. Nelson shows tremendous ball skills and his athletic frame makes for an ideal target for quarterbacks. A true playmaker, watch for Nelson to play an integral role in this year's offence.

Harry Sommerville LB/DL, Langley Stampeders is 6’3 230 lbs. Sommerville is returning home to Chilliwack where he resides and began his football career. Sommerville has earned multiple awards for top lineman and was a huge part of the Stampeders 12-0 provincial title season. He has recently made the switch to linebacker and is eager to bring his skill set to the club.

Jonny Stevenson, Abbotsford Panthers linebacker is6’3 215. Stevenson is an aggressive hard-hitting linebacker who should fit in nicely with the Huskers defence. Able to make plays sideline to sideline, Stevenson's size and athleticism make him a very intriguing prospect

Remis Tshiovo, RB/WR/KR played 4 high school seasons with the St, Paul's Crusaders 2013-2016 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In his final year with the Crusaders he had 771 rushing yards on 48 carries with 10 touchdowns. He also added 237 receiving yards and was 3rd in scoring in the Potter Division (AAA). His team won 2 provincial championships in 2014 and 2016. The 5' 10", 185 lb. versatile player was team MVP, WHSFL All-Star Player of the Week and All Potter Division Offensive team in 2016. He was part of Team Manitoba U18 in 2016 and Team Manitoba U16 in 2013, 2014. He trained and is part of Recruit Ready's 7on7 elite team which traveled to Chicago, Las Vegas, Florida and Minneapolis. Tshiovo should provide a legitimate scoring threat for the Huskers.

Sam Henneberry is 6 ft. and weighs 170 lbs. In his last year he received the team MVP and a conference All-Star Award. He is a very athletic, versatile player with great speed and brings a strong physical game to the Valley Huskers.

In naming these early recruits Coach Reist added, “The momentum is certainly growing and we are seeing those results in our recruiting efforts. This is a great start to what we believe will another great recruiting class”
