Police check over a vehicle for signs of any foul play Monday night.

he windshield in a woman's car made a loud "pop" sound and cracked while she was driving down the road, leading her to believe someone had shot at her vehicle, and she immediately called the police.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Tammy Hollingsworth told the Voice in an e-mail Tuesday that police investigated, and could find no evidence the vehicle was shot at, nor was the woman injured. According to Hollingsworth, the window made a "pop" similar to a gun when it broke.

"There was no indication that a shot had been fired, and no one other than the complainant heard anything," she said.

The community need not worry, no one is out there taking pot shots at drivers.
