Researching Imagination

Science World brings own brand of fun to Chilliwack

hey came seeking wisdom about the weird, wild and wonderful last Saturday at Evergreen Hall and found it.

The Science World road show and crew were at it once again in Chilliwack with their annual day-long sideshow, featuring over 20 exhibitors dishing out knowledge on everything from grasshoppers to gas.

The free family fair is meant to nurture interest in the sciences. Kids were agog running from table-to-table checking out displays in wide-eyed wonderment and interacting with the wide array of booths on site.                                        A youngster checks out a hands-on booth Saturday.

Mayor Sharon Gaetz had an animated chat with kids and families and staff later performed stunts on stage. UFV President Mark Evered spoke about the importance of science and getting an education.
