he Fraser Valley Dragon Boat Club is gearing up for the 2012 season! They had their annual cleaning bee this past Saturday with a great turnout; all teams were well represented and the work was done in short time.

The club would like to thank all who participated and also thank Manfred & Kathy for offering their shop for this to take place. The Dragon Boats will be put launched in Harrison Lake on March 3 and the teams will begin practicing March 4

The club is made up of a youth team, a women’s team and 5 mixed teams. If you are interested in trying this exciting team sport or want more information, please visit our website at www.fvdbc.com or contact Trisha via e-mail here.

As their name suggests, the Seraphins are a group of ardent, fiery women ages 18 to 65 who are heading into their second year as dragon boaters. They have a strong core of like minded women who have common objectives of raising their fitness levels, meeting new friends, improving their paddling skills and most importantly, having fun! They practice every Tuesday night at 6pm on spectacular Harrison Lake and will definitely be competing in the Harrison Dragon Boat Regatta on July 21/2012. They welcome any woman who is looking for fun, exercise, excitement and friendship, to join our team this year!
