Pritchett, Lee amongst a big lineup for August weekend music festival

he Lower Mainland's biggest country music event is going to be even bigger and better in 2012.
The Rockin' River Music Festival announced this week that it will be a bigger event expanding from two nights to three in 2012 and that it will feature bigger acts in its entertainment lineup.
Brent Lee will be one of the performers on Rockin’ River Music Festival’s Opening Day lineup Aug. 9. Several big-name acts, to be announced later this week, will perform at the bigger-and-better 2012 Rockin’ River Music Festival Aug. 9-11 at Mission Raceway Park in Mission.
This year, for the first time, Rockin’ River Music Festival will begin with an Opening Day Party on Thursday Aug. 9 to welcome campers and music fans arriving for the Friday and Saturday acts.
The Aug. 9 lineup includes Alberta’s Tyler Whalen along with the Lower Mainland’s own Brent Lee, Karen Lee Batten, and headliner Aaron Pritchett. Rockin’ River Music Festival takes place Aug. 9-11 at Mission Raceway Park (32670 Dyke Rd., Mission) and features headline acts along with some of B.C.’s best country talent. This year’s full lineup, which will surprise and thrill local music fans, will be announced later this week.

“This year’s show is bigger and better than any lineup Rockin’ River has had in its five-year history,” says show organizer and performer Kenny Hess. “Anyone who went to last year’s show will be thrilled with this year’s lineup and the addition of the third day of music fun. It's going to be a big-time fun weekend.”
