Police looking for witness to convenience store crime

Police would like to speak with the woman who saw this take place. Above is the video image of the suspect in the store two Friday's ago. 


n February 10, 2012, shortly before 10:00 am, a lone male entered the Young Street Supermarket located at 9590 Young Road demanding cigarettes. The clerk complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cigarette packages.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5'5" tall, thin build, and 160 pounds. He was wearing a blue and grey plaid pullover hooded jacket, and a flat brimmed black baseball cap with a round sticker on the brim. The male suspect had a bandana/handkerchief over his face to conceal his identity. Police are releasing a still photograph that was obtained from security video with the hopes someone may recognize the clothing the man was wearing to help identify him.

"Police are also looking for a woman who entered the store as the suspect was fleeing," said Corporal Tammy Hollingsworth. "We believe she is a witness and may have valuable information."
