"We're thrilled to be building another facility in Chilliwack that will help our citizens keep active lifestyles," said Mayor Sharon Gaetz. "I encourage you to visit the Open House and provide us with your ideas and suggestions, so we can make sure we design and build the best skate and skills park possible."

The Webster Landing Skate and Skills Park will be designed by van der Zalm + associates Inc. Following the design consultation process, construction of the new facility will be put to tender. The skate and skills park project is expected to be completed in late June, 2012.

The construction of the Sardis Library required relocation of the existing skate park on Tyson Road. After hearing suggestions from the public regarding the location of the park, Council decided to move it to the planned city park within the new Webster block development.
