A power pole was sheared off in a crash at 4:30am Sunday. There were no serious injuries as a result the accident.

eighbors woke up early Sunday morning to the sound of a car hitting a power pole. After hitting the pole, the car careened across the street and landed in a front yard.

There was no word if the driver was drunk, or what the circumstances were. Despite being the 13th day of the month, the driver and passengers were lucky in that no serious injuries were reported.

Power was out for several blocks in the area and debris covered the street as fire crews set up barricades on both ends of Wellington. Emergency responders worked to keep residents clear from downed wires. Hydro crews are currently working on restoring power to the area.

According to reports there was a lot of screaming and yelling going on. One resident told The Voice that the bang was so loud it set off his alarm clock.
