City Welcomes New RCMP Media Rep
Cpl. Dunlop moves to Burnaby Detachment
or the past three years the voice of the RCMP for the Upper Fraser Valley has been Corporal Lea-Anne Dunlop. After spending the past eight years in Chilliwack, Corporal Dunlop is moving on to a patrol supervisor role in Burnaby. There are two new voices that will be sharing the responsibility of keeping the public informed.
Cst. Wolbeck (L) and Cpl. Hollingsworth.
Constable Tracy Wolbeck comes to the role of Media Relations Officer having 11 years experience. For the past 12 months Constable Wolbeck has been the back-up Media Relations Officer for the Upper Fraser Valley and is happy to be moving in to the permanent role.
Constable Wolbeck comes to the position with a broad range of policing experience. She has had the opportunity to work in a small northern Alberta town, Fraser Valley Traffic, and most recently served as a community youth officer.
Corporal Tammy Hollingsworth also comes to the role with 11 years of policing experience. Corporal Hollingsworth started her career in Coquitlam detachment on general duty and moved from there to be a serious crimes investigator. Most recently Cpl. Hollingsworth worked in the Surrey district also as a serious crime investigator. She is excited to start her new role as a Media Relations Officer particularly because Chilliwack is her home town.
Corporal Dunlop has enjoyed many of her experiences in the Chilliwack community including working as a Youth Resource Officer, serving on the Board of Chilliwack Restorative Justice, and helping to organize Operation Red Nose. "The past three years of working to keep the communities of the Upper Fraser Valley informed have been a pleasure," said Corporal Lea-Anne Dunlop. " Having been posted from Nova Scotia, I will always consider Chilliwack my B.C. home."
Cpl. Dunlop leaves Chilliwack.
The Valley Voice wishes Cpl. Lea-Anne Dunlop all the best in her new job it was great working with her and we extend a warm welcome to Cpl. Tammy Hollingsworth to the Chilliwack community.
