Released by Cst. Tracy Wolbeck, RCMP UFVRD/Voice photo and submitted photo

Chilliwack RCMP Cst. Sean Roche volunteered his time to collect food at Pricesmart Foods on Yale Rd. last Saturday. Below, (submitted photo) Boston Bar members Cst. Steve Thackeray and Cst. Jon Lane.

ll of the detachments in the Upper Fraser Valley Region participated in the annual Stuff the Cruiser event on December 15. The event was once again met with resounding success!

The food items collected were the same as last years totals however, the cash donations this year were almost double. Agassiz raised $533 and delivered 2 truck loads of food.

Chilliwack raised $2989.20 in cash and 7500 food items were collected.

Hope raised $619 and 1400 pounds of food, and Boston Bar raised 1125 pounds of food and $904 in cash.

All of the money and food that were donated was given to local Salvation Army or Food Bank in each of the communities.

"So much hard work goes into this event to make it a success every year," said Cst. Tracy Wolbeck. "Officers use their own time to organize and attend the event and the public is always so supportive of our efforts."

The RCMP would like to thank all the participating businesses involved and a special thanks to the public for their continued support and generosity.
