Christmas Companionship

Agassiz Centre for Education kids and Legion host breakfast Dec 25

Submitted by Sandy Balascak, Agassiz Centre for Education

magine students who give up their Christmas morning, along with staff and Legion members, in order to provide a place for the Seniors who would be alone, to go, eat, socialize and get a gift from Santa.

Imagine further that these students are in the alternate program and have had a history of being seen as the "bad kids". The school that some once fought to keep out of town, is now an award-winning, respected, integral part of Agassiz and events such as these are exactly why.

No one should be left out in the cold on Christmas morning. Agassiz Centre (ACE) for Education will host a breakfast get-together from 8 A.M. to 10 A.M. with gifts and cheer for local seniors.

Seniors attending this free event will need to pick up a ticket prior at the Agassiz Legion or at the Agassiz public library.

Volunteers are needed and donations would be greatly appreciated for this important event. For more information contact Sandy here.
