While one youngster tells Santa what he wants for Christmas the other isn't fussy about being on Santa's knee Saturday at Breakfast With Santa downtown.

romontory Church congregation members were up at at 'em early Saturday morning serving up delicious free breakfasts at their Main Street location in the old Liquidation World building.

Ever-busy BIA event organiser Desmond Devnich was helping out and took time to speak with the Voice about Breakfast With Santa and other events downtown.

"I think it's a great setup, it's beautifully decorated and Santa Claus is here and he's ready to go," adding that "the breakfast is being served, pancakes and french toast, you can't go wrong."

The BIA has been working hard over the last several months attempting to inject some vibrancy into the downtown core and stimulate business development.

"It's part of our Business in the City series from November 25 to December 17," he explained. "We've been hosting a number of events like the On the Rooftop event and our upcoming Winter Carnival."

When asked what he wants for Christmas, Devnich thought for a second and then laughed saying "a day off."
