Ratepayer Groups Have Own Gravel Supply Plan

NDP environment critic Flemming at Yarrow meeting tonight

Submitted Glen Thompson, FCRV

onight, we are presenting our community initiated plan to end Conflict Gravel mining. This is our alternative to the flawed APP being touted by the FVRD. Over 200 people have publicly spoke against the tired APP document at meetings in Deroche, Chilliwack, McConnell Creek and Hope.

Our plan called the Aggregate Supply Plan ASP is a balance between what the gravel companies need to be profitable and efficient and what communities need to protect property values and quality of life.

The plan will be presented to the public and to NDP Environment Critic Rob Flemming who is flying over from Victoria to hear from our community.

Hope to see you all tomorrow night Dec 1st, 7pm, Yarrow Community Hall. Turn off Yarrow Central to the hall at 4670 Community St.
