Cash Gifts Down, Food Donations Up

Chilliwack residents come through in a big way

Submitted by Cpl. Lee-Anne Dunlop

he Chilliwack RCMP, Traffic and First Nation Police, along with Lower Mainland District Police Dog Services and Emergence Response Team, all helped make this year stuff the cruiser event a huge success.

I expected to have some totals for you this morning but the food donations took the day to count!

We were able to collect $4577.89 in cash donations, and 9420 items of food donated! (15 pallets of food!!!)

The money is more than double last year, and so was the food donated!!! Last year we collected 7 pallets of food and approximately 1700.00.

"Chilliwack always comes through" said Corporal Lea-Anne Dunlop. "It was wet and rainy, but there was nothing but smiles on the faces of our officers who were out there helping to make this happen".
