REALTORSCareR Blanket Drive

CADREB realtors collects 450 bags of warm clothing for needy

Submitted by Steve Lerigney, CADREB

Some of the winter clothing realtors collected in this year's blanket drive in Chilliwack.

he CADREB members are out in full force this year to help make Chilliwack a better community and to improve the quality of life for all citizen's.

Together members from all areas including Agassiz-Harrison and Hope participated in the annual Blanket Drive to help keep those in need warm.

With the help of REALTORSR and their many clients and the generosity of the general public CADREB collected over 450 bags of jackets, blankets, hats, and socks.

This year CADREB had the assistance of additional community support when the Leadership students from Chilliwack Senior Secondary came to the board office to help sort the donations. All these donations will be given to Ruth and Naomi's Mission for distribution to those who need them.

CADREB also made a presentation to Chilliwack Community Services in support of their Legacy Housing Project on School Street. The support of a housing project such as this is important for the fabric of our community and REALTORSR being a part of a housing initiative makes sense. The President Kyle Hislop and Public Relations chair, Jesse Hildebrandt made the presentation on behalf of the members of CADREB which donated $3500.00 towards

developing the office facilities.                Kyle Hislop, CADREB Pres. presents (R)

Heather Rollins, CCS Dir. with the cheque.

December also brings our annual Seniors Tour of Lights, again this year the buses will be full and we are hoping to bring in a record number of canned goods to support local charities.
