Treasures of Nature show opens at Museum

Submitted by Mary Chalmers Main, CVAA

A photo of geese by Fred Gornall titled "Rest Stop" at the Chilliwack Museum until September 6.

he reception for the exhibition on Saturday July 28th was well attended despite having the misfortune to contend with the London Olympics.

People came, and then stayed to see the very good exhibit of nature photographs by Fred and Delphine Gornall, and the beautiful sculptures of George Sauvé. The Museum Gallery has a more intimate ambience, well suited to the nature of the exhibit.

There is some Raku work as well as soapstone carvings,  both natural and abstract, by George Sauvé, and the photography of Fred and Delphine Gornall, never fails to delight by its freshness and beauty.

This exhibition is one not to be missed. It runs until September 6th, at the Museum Chambers Gallery, 45820 Spadina Avenue. Chilliwack, Monday-Friday from 9am to 4.30pm
