Released by Mary Chalmers Main, CVAA

he Chilliwack Visual Artists Association is gearing up for their upcoming photographic exhibition from August 30th to October 13th called "Light and Shape" showcasing the work of Cornerstone Print Group founded by the late Jim Britton.

Britton taught camera buffs from the Chilliwack Photography Club, the different techniques involved with studio lighting, many of whom went on to become professional photographers.

The CVAA invites everyone to the opening reception Saturday 8th September from 12 noon to 2 P.M. at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre art gallery, 9201 Corbould St.

Please note that the show comes with an "Adult Content" warning because some of the photographs have nude models.

"They are in no way exploitative, but are art works from the various artists," said Mary Chalmers Main, CVAA Publicity Coordinator in a Tuesday release.

Regular gallery hours are Wednesday to Saturday from 12 noon to 5 P.M.
