A Belief In Faeries
Party in the Park Fairy Tale theme night makes for great summertime memories
Local band, 9:31, played to a full house Friday at Central Community Park.
nce upon a time in a land far, far away, there was a town filled with faeries called Chilliwack — and it rocked.
Every Friday night in July and August the Downtown BIA organizes eight themed mini music festivals at Central Community Park. There's always a great lineup of local talent on the Star 98.3 Entertainment Stage. The theme was Fairy Tale Night and also featured a "Canine Idol" dog contest. A market with over 60 vendors selling everything from tacos to tee-shirts line Victoria Ave. and Mill St.
The event is sponsored by Coast Capital Savings and has a Safeway Kid's Zone with face painting and more. There's only three park parties left so be sure to check one out and make some great summer memories.
Next Event: Friday August 19, "Circus Night" with Capella Dance, Mexican Band, Goddess Movement, Rags to Radio, Tractorgrease Folk, Cam Latimer Band and the Chill Billies.
Central Community Park is located at the corner of Young Rd and Victoria Ave in Chilliwack and the event runs from 5pm to 10pm.
If you weren't able to make it to the event, we've gotcha covered. Check out the photos below.
