The Long & Winding Road

Stroke victim runs 7 miles in 70 cities to help give hope to others

Submitted by Ernie Kasper

ello my name is Ernie and I am a stroke survivor who once worked in a hospital helping stroke survivors. About 4 and a half years ago I survived a stroke and had to learn how to walk, talk, read, write and so many other things. I was refused at a hospital for a cat scan and then sent  home.

I didn't receive therapy for a very long time so I decided to do things on my own. Well to make a long story short, I am running 7 miles in 70 cities. Chilliwack will be my 6th city.

The acting mayor will be greeting me when I enter the city and possibly there will be police escort or personal greeting (depending on availability) I am so excited to make Chilliwack a part of my personal triumph run. This dream took me years of  persistence to acquire and so I would love for you to be a big part of it as well. This is very emotional for me as I run, I want to provide hope for everyone who is suffering from illness. I will be running on Aug 20th 1:00pm.

Here is a promo vid that I made for the 70x7 run. People are asking me all the time, what does 70x7 mean and what happened to me etc. I might as well make this tour effective. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IE-Axh7m1mY
