he City of Chilliwack Fire Department released a written and pictorial history coffee table book on Wednesday featuring its first 100 years in the community. The book is titled Chilliwack Fire Department: 1906 - 2006 The First 100, was originally conceived in 2006 and has now been published and is ready for sale.

Previous fire chiefs Tom Beer, Bill Chambers and Wayne Green were asked to research and record the first 100 years of the Chilliwack Fire Department and were aided by Grant Ullyot and were on hand at the hall to sign copies.

The book was produced by Shannon Bettles (Anderson) of the Chilliwack Archives as well as Ron Denman and Paul Ferguson from the Chilliwack Museum.
