Stompin' Tom Connors in Chilliwack Thursday
his summer one of Canada's most iconic artists, Stompin’ Tom Connors, is coming to Chilliwack as part of his 13-city tour. The concert will be at Heritage Park on Thursday at 8pm.

Stompin' Tom is in the 46th year of his incredible music career since his break in Timmins, ON, of which he overcame a life of poverty and hard knocks to become the revered recording artist he is today.
Last month, the Toronto Musicians Union awarded Stompin' Tom their Lifetime Achievement Award and 50 Year Membership Pin to add to his unbelievable list of accolades which also includes: officer of The Order of Canada, the Queen’s Jubilee Medal, The Governor General’s Performing Arts Award, SOCAN’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recipient of three Doctorates from the Universities of St. Thomas in Fredericton, UPEI in Charlottetown and U. of T. in Toronto and his very own Canadian Postage Stamp.
He has also written two autobiographies – the first of which was a No. 1 best-seller. At the end of 2008, Stompin' Tom released one of his most critically acclaimed albums ever, The Ballad of Stompin' Tom, of which there is also a very popular theatrical play about his life.
