Sierra Gordon, Phantom Screens

Habitat for Humanity’s 34th Carter Work Project is scheduled to be held in Edmonton and Winnipeg July 9-14, 2017.

hantom Screens, the leading manufacturer of retractable screens in North America, is celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2017.

To recognize this milestone, they have partnered with Habitat for Humanity and the Jimmy & Rosalyn Carter Work Project to raise $150,000 towards building affordable housing across Canada. The 2017 Carter Work Project plans to help build 150 homes for Canada’s 150th birthday – Habitat Canada’s largest build project.

With this in mind, Phantom Screens has planned several events throughout the year to help meet their goal of $150,000 starting with the Grand Opening of their new building expansion in Abbotsford B.C.

The Grand Opening event will kick off at 10am on Wednesday April 12th, 2017 and will be open to all local community and friends.

This event will boast a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30am with local Abbotsford Mayor, Henry Braun and CEO C. Esther De Wolde. Thereafter, guests will partake in guided plant tours, fun activities and a planned lunch. Any and all proceeds at this event will go in support of Phantom Screens goal of raising $150,000.

"One of our core values at Phantom Screens is to practice stewardship and this value isn’t just something we throw around. It is something that each and everyone one of us across the board live and breathe, and for the last twenty-five years has defined our company culture," said C. Esther De Wolde, Chief Executive Officer of Phantom Screens.

This will be one of Phantom Screens employees largest collective effort for a fundraising project to date, and is something the organization feels very passionate about.

"We are so thankful for the community of Abbotsford and surrounding areas for continuously supporting our business and giving us the opportunity to not only give back to those in need, but to expand our floor space within our 25th year." Esther concludes, "This expansion will also allow us to offer more employment opportunities to a community that has been so instrumental in our growth over the years."

Phantom Screens will be opening their doors at their new Abbotsford location.
