Armed & Very Dangerous

Police vehicles respond to a robbery on Wells Road.

 

t was just after noon Thursday when a man carrying a shotgun and a knife went into a Wells Grocery in the 45000-block of Wells and demanded money.

 

Reports are, the bandit was handed a bag of money and grabbed some cigarettes before fleeing on foot east down Wells Road.

Police attempted to seal the suspect in and set-up a perimeter for blocks around the little corner store, but the suspect somehow managed to give them the slip. A Police Dog Services K9 team was brought in to try and acquire a track on the armed man. Police canvassed the neighbourhood looking for possible witnesses.

No one was injured in the robbery.

The suspect is described as Caucasian wearing a black hat and a black shirt.
