A distraught woman talks with police after being pepper-sprayed in the face while in a home on Rotary Street Tuesday.

ccording to reports Tuesday, three men entered a home in the 9500-block of Rotary Ave. just after 4 p.m., and pepper-sprayed three 3 people in the house. One of the victims, a woman, was blinded and hysterical when RCMP and BCAS paramedics arrived on the scene.

It took a lot of water to rinse off the spray, but paramedics eventually got the job done. It's unclear if anything was taken in the invasion. There appeared to be no other injuries.

A neighbour who was watching the scene unfold, told The Voice that the house, a stone's throw from Chilliwack Senior Secondary, has been a major problem for 14 years and a draw for all kinds of dubious characters.

"We think the renters bring all these creeps with them," he said. "After all these years, we'd love to see that house shut down."

Testament to neighbourhood problems may be the number of "For Sale" signs on both sides of the dead-end street.
