bout 150 pawdnuhs put on their best bib ‘n tucker and headed out for some good eatin’, live music and a’course a lil’ shindig at the Hoedown for Hospice fundraiser Saturday March 31.
Coletta Holmes told the Voice in an e-mail that $19,000 was raised at the event.
“We had a great turnout, great response and everyone had a ton of fun,” said Holmes.
While folks were puttin’ on the feedbag with grub from Smoke & Bones, Irene Lloyd gave a hoop demonstration that would put any ridin’, ropin’ cowboy to shame.
That was followed by a mighty fine line dancing show. Later on in the evening local singer Todd Richard and the TR Band got folks up on their feet with their unique brand of country music.
Throughout the course of the evening folks bid on silent auction items and a later live auction run by Clyde Dougans who produced some awesome goodies from Corky’s Pub, Mountainview Harley, Harrison Hot Springs Rescort, Rock.It Boy Entertainment, Road Ryders Motorcycle School, The Gallery and Cheryl Bennewith. See below for the silent auction donor’s list and others who made the night possible.
